The Archer - Raw - 3DP Design Prototype

This prototype 3DP version of the Archer borrows the curved topline and easy alignment of the milled version of the Archer, but shaves off the rear flange to radically slim down the putter's appearance at address.  As a result this prototype is thinner than a typical heel-toe weighted blade and is more reminiscent of skinny blades from the 1990s that fell out of fashion as the putter industry focused increasingly on high-MOI mallets.

But as you can see from the exposed tungsten weights in the heel and toe, this putter is no slouch in the MOI department.  This putter contains a full 112g of tungsten - 31% of its total headweight of 364g -- yielding an MOI of 5800!

This prototype has been left raw with no plating and it will rust and develop a darker brown patina over time.

Our 3DP Design putters feature perfectly flat, polished stainless steel faces with incredibly sharp and accurate photochemically milled grooves in a choice of 2 patterns.

Multi-Material Construction

3D printing allows us to push the limits of what's possible in putter design.  Our multi-material construction approach maximizes the benefits of this new technology to create the most forgiving putters while maintaining traditional sizes and shapes.

The interior of this putter is packed with both aluminum and tungsten.  In fact this putter is nearly half aluminum by volume.  Why aluminum?  Because it's strong and light.  Placing aluminum in the center of the putter strips weight out from where we don't want it and lets us redistribute it to where we do.  

This putter incorporates a massive 150g of tungsten.  Why tungsten?   Because it's the densest, heaviest commonly available metal.  Placing that tungsten strategically in the toe and heel boosts the MOI and forgiveness of our putters well beyond what is possible in a pure steel putter.  To put it in context, an all-steel putter of this head style is typically around 4000 MOI.  Many huge super-MOI mallets on the market are in the 5000 MOI range.  This putter's MOI is north of 6000!
